I have 2 Ahm C-Liners that run, but, theres a issue with the front trucks. The pin thats on top in the middle, well, its wings are snapped off! Both run, got 'em both fer $5 3 years ago and haven't come up with any cheap fixes. Anybody have any idears?

If you still have the broken tabs, glue them back on with CA, then cut a plastic strip the width of the tabs (the more substantial, the better) and glue it across the top of them as reinforcement, leaving enough room for the wires to thread through.

I plan on making a small styrene plate that'll sit place of the old tabs.

Lucky you still HAVE a column shaft, the ones I have on engines have the whole stalk sheered off the truck, nothing left to even fit in the chassis hole. Just a loose truck. Have a few engines I've acquired like that, truck hanging by a wire and no way to hold it in anymore.

Justin,
If you haven't done it already, here's an easy fix.
If you have a hobby shop nearby and can buy some 5/16" dia. Evergreen tubing, cut a short section and glue it vertically to the top of the truck bolster where the tabs used to be. The tubing should just fit the hole in the frame, but you can enlarge the opening if it's too tight. Then glue a strip of scrap styrene to the top of the tube and cut or file it to size so that it acts like the original tabs, with enough room to the sides to run the wires. Be sure to do any gluing without the truck installed.

I had the same idea in mind, but, Nelson, your idea is better than mines!
