This was an Undecorated Atnearn GP-9 shell I got for $3 from my LHS.
This took a while to paint and letter. Every letter/number with the exception of the Conrail decals was an individual decal. This engine was a former Conrail engine used by NJ Transit circa 1983. NJ Transit took blue paint and painted out the Conrail markings. I have to find one side railing and 2- lenses to complete this.
There is an earlier version of this engine listed below also.
This is the picture of the real engine I used to model the shell I have.
While the shell is completed, I still need a chassis, handrails and 2- lenses to finish this one off also.
Both engines used Badger paint, Testor's Dullcoat and Microscale decals.
This is the picture I used for the other variation of the NJT GP-9 engine.

| I haven't seen it in the maintenance yard when I used to go by on the way to Hoboken, NJ. This was circa 1983 so probably not.
