This isn't much of a kitbash or customization. I had a spare Model Power GP 20 running gear laying around and decided to drop a Durango shell onto it. Prior to putting the shell on I added a Digitrax decoder. I call this the lazy man's conversion.

That's a great idea and when you think of it that's what was done with slot cars and I'm sure RC cars, a guy gets a bunch of shells and changes them out every so often for a variety of looks.

CVT, it does run better. I had it pulling 12 cars last night. The fuel tank need a repaint but other than that I'm happy. I'm looking for another cheap MP gp20 to do a Chattanooga.
