Gift from Tin Plate Henry. It was arcing and sparking so badly I was afraid it would set the layout on fire. Moose Yarborough graciously overhauled it for me, and now she runs like a Swiss watch and pulls like a mule. Mostly metal, plastic underframe and has a shaker inside the provides a weak chuffing sound. Any clues to date of manufacture? Did it come as part of a set? Pretty common? Was it a template used by other model train manufacturers? Any info greatly appreciated. All I know it's Revell, it's old, it's cool, and it works.

Yes, it is the Revell Omaha! Filled with little metal pellets and a shaker tab on one of the driver axles to give it a peculiar chug-chug like sound. Sounds more like a baby rattle if you ask me. Sean
