i have an athearn 85ft flat car from 1969,which was done as a special,as can be seen from photos i need a few bits or a flatcar to obtain the bits from can anyone help ken
parts needed are as follows,2 bridge plates long,2 bridge plates short,2 l/h container shoes,2 r/h container shoes
from what i can find out there was a meeting in morristown,new jersey,to sign for standerdised container sizes in 1969 known as iso/tc 104,both sizes are shown,this was not only applicable to usa but the world ken

Hi Ken. The parts you need are part of two parts bags. #20025 & 20026. See Parts list on Instruction sheet. Price back then in 1969 was .50 & .30 cents each (.80 cents).
Now, 41 years later it is $2.25 for each parts bag ($4.50). You might be better off getting a complete car kit.  Carl

hi carl agree,but not available here in uk,been trying for a year to get the full kit,or the parts bags,its a nice piece of history and just want to complete it and return it to its display case,ken
spot on with athearns prices,its their international postage that kills it for me
20025 85' FLAT TRAILER HITCH SET 1 $2.25

other thing that puzzles me is how something given out at that meeting in new jersey ended up in kent in the uk
