Smokie sent me a big box of track - several rerailers, and a bunch of brass and other track, all nice and clean. He didn't even charge me anything! There is probably about 35-40 feet of track total, which is quite a bit.

I just wanted to say thank you. This forum is one of the nicest sites on the internet - no arguing - just people helping out and being nice.

I had a great phone conversation with him about trains, and got a lot of insight on a few things I was interested in.

Just wanted to say thanks so much! I'm trying to put together a layout with well over 1000 feet of track, so it will take me quite a while. Jerry is an awesome guy!

Save up the track! I have done a revised estimate and it appears I need between 1500' and 2003' of track now (32 scale miles!) Definitely looking for any track that no one wants.

I can use steel track but am trying to stay away from it except for the high-speed rail line (Tyco TurboTrain). I prefer brass or nickel silver. I am sure to collect a lot of brass track as I'm obtaining most of my track from people who are upgrading to nickel silver.
