My AOTW is an old scratch-built bridge I got at the train show yesterday. Wood and cardboard construction. I like how it's made to cross at an angle.

Dig the work on that bridge Jerry.

And that Ford woody is a cool kit, gmoney. The only Jordan kit I've put together is a two buggy set that sort of drove me buggy dealing with the tiny parts and then those instructions that tell you need to actually bend a couple of the fragile pieces. That woody looks more reasonable and those Jordan products seem to have such incredible detail.

I finally decided what my AOTW is for this week. It's a Hot Wheels Pontiac Fiero from 1987 I believe.

Nice woody, Glenn. I am a big fan of the Woodys and cars with partial wood till they ended... Just days ago this one was parked up the road from our house... It was restored to an extreme condition...

Oh my that is a nice one, I wish I had taken a picture this past weekend. There was a historic festival at the town where I went to a train show - they had a restored, what loked to be a '57/'58 or thereabouts Ford woody station wagon, just perfect in every way. Dang that was pretty

Thanks Walt. I'm a little intimidated about assembling it, but I guess slow and careful is the way to go.

That's a beautiful Buick there. Have you ever worked on any 1:1 scale woodies?

Woodys are soooo cool
The Woodys were later plastic & stickers
I still can't stand the Chrysler Town & Country mini vans without the Simulated wood paneling

Glenn, I've never had the pleasure of working on a Woody... I'd love to own one someday...

Microben, Simulated wood on cars is a joke in my opinion... It's an item that attempts to make something look like what it's not. Look at the real wood on the Buick pictured and compare that to the expensive optional vinyl decal wood... and it's no fun to repair a panel with the vinyl...
