Thanks. You definitely need to know how to improvise. That is the key to this hobby. I've seen people far more creative than myself make buildings and works of art out of ordinary household items. My Grandfather was one of those people. The building to the far left was made by a German company called Faller. They've been in business since the 1940's. Not sure when this one was made, but it's definitely old. I found it on ebay.

Your Grandfather was a man with my kind of heart. I love making use of various random stuff on my Fox Valley layout. The Faller tower I had back in the 1960's so it's at least that old. Nice collection of cars. Master Of Plasticville
