My AOTW is this war surplus truck. My layout period is post WWII. Army trucks were sold as surplus. This Chevy army truck is repainted in civilian colors. In this scene, it's backed up to a boxcar to deliver some LCL (less than carload lot) freight at the freight station in Tabor.
Really, it's a ROCO miniature. I don't know if they still make them, but they did produce nice HO models of military vehicles and figures.
