. My LOTW is this C&I F7. It appears to be a red box era Tyco, as it has the dummy MU style trucks. In this respect it is similar to the recently discussed Tyco C&O "F9" but has a completely different and more interesting paint scheme. while the other one was based on the C&O passenger scheme that their E8s wore, the one shown here is a cross between the C&O and RF&P passenger schemes. I think it looks better than anything the C&O had in real life.

Very interesting pics. You may have opened an interesting can of worms. I was looking for my Tyco red box pics of the C&O diesel. There appear to be two color schemes. My cars are in storage, so I can't get to them right now. I'm including one of my photos and one off the web for comparison purposes.
Here is a small image of the engines from my set. As you can see, the color scheme is similar to JWs.
Here is a pic from the web. As you can see, this engine has a different color scheme.

Yes, that is wht I was saying . I have the top one. The guy trying to get his running had the bottom one, which more closely resembles the C&O E8s. Honestly, I'd like to have both varieties. Athearn and others have made their F7s in the freight scheme of blue and yellow with a bow wave. And just to add to the C&O f7 intrigue, there are the Chessie System units, which never existed in real life. C&O got rid of their F&s early, with the oines not traded in to EMD transferred over to B&O where they were repainted and served a few more years. But B&O reitred its last F7s in 1975, with none having been repainted CHessie. It;s a shame, they would have looked good that way.
