A rarely seen manufacture is the Ulrich company. Their most common freight car is the all-metal 34' 2 bay hopper with many road names that came as a kit. This one is a little rarer. The all-metal flat with a trailer. Mine has the B&O Tofcee Service trailer and the flat car like most all are unlettered. I only had 1 before yesterday. I took my Saturday walk around the Meadowlands Flea market and found this one

Does anyone know what Tofcee stands for? I sure don't.

TOFCEE was a trademark used by the B&O for their version of Trailer On Flat Car.

I never had this one as a kid but MOST of my train stuff back then come from this store. It's a favorite just for those memories. A very hard car to find now.

Jeff, thanks for that photo of the real Tofcee service car and trailers.

Bill, Thank you for the definition of Tofcee. I am 74. the B&O came right through my town, and it is something I never knew.

Frank, I was curious about the building in the background of the TOFCEE van. This popped up on the
web, from a time when America actually made stuff. In the early 1990's I was often employed
hauling industrial machinery from Detroit to the Mexican border, for export for their booming
industrial economy. Going to bite my tongue now, probably said too much already.
