I have turned my attention back to Henley, these days, enjoying some new faves, and some
old. This is a Dapol kit of a British Tavern. When I started up with the British range, in the early
1990's, this stuff was very hard to find- some small ads in the back of Model Railroader Magazine,
everything by Snail Mail. The shipping costs are atrocious.
Advice please: this scene is a little flat. How might it be perked up?

I recommend definitely adding a few more people, maybe clustered in groups, like they are talking. Maybe some wagons, if applicable.
Some Woodland Scenics always looks good.

The ole Life-Like Police station. I had this kit on my 1970s layout. I replaced it in 1999...

| Put some gravel around the sign. If you've had your roof replaced recently, the gravel they use is PERFECT. It can be used for so many things. And then perhaps put a car parked next to the tavern?

Chops - My humble suggestions;
Some flower boxes under the windows.
Shutters on windows or maybe awning
More signage
Trash on side of building.
Lastly, it needs a lamp post for that drunk to lean against.
I know he's not drunk, but he will be!

Thank you! Actually, he is a minister railing against the perils of
alcohol, but could be retrofitted.
