Going up North for about a week to see an old Army pal. I haven't had much time to plan for the trip, but beyond the Golden rail museum, and the Forney museum, does anyone have any tips on model train shows, clubs, etc? I am talking about the Denver Metro area, of course.
I will taking the light rail from the airport to Golden, and from there exists a very good bus shuttle that will drop me in front of the B&B I'll be staying at, which includes a free ski package. For that, I'd hope to take the ski train out of Denver, and hopefully not break my stupid leg!
I'll be checking in the Forum from time to time, and hope to get some good suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Chops,
Have fun in Denver and on the slopes. Copper Mtn is great, so is Vail.
Here is a link to all upcoming train shows: https://www.railserve.com/events/train_shows.html

Hey Busss, the thought crossed my mind that Nebraska was just a little ways to the East. They had some bill boards advertising the show. I'd been there a few years back and ended up raiding the place for Tyco and Plasticville at rock bottom prices. To my regret, I had to come back home today, so will not get to see it. I ended up doing some great bike rides, long walks, a few museums, and confined my train activities to long rides on the Denver Light Rail, which was very smooth, clean, and safe- a most pleasant way to travel about the metro area without a car. Maybe next time I'll get out to Nebraska and check out the "Home of the Dumpster Cam!"
