Weather was looking iffy today, overcast and threatening, but it lightened up, and by the afternoon the clouds were breaking up some and sun was shining through. The J ran two excursions today, I got there around 1 PM, and the J was just loading up for the 2nd trip out. I managed to get a few pictures and vids of the engine and passenger cars before it pulled out, then went to run HO trains at my club's modular layout. Surprisingly, my J was the only one I saw running ( again ), although the Lionel guys brought two, they sat around and did not run. So I got a lot of looks again at my BLI J #613, the kids and parents and adults all loved it. This year I didn't bother bringing anything else to run, as what's the point? Everyone was more interested in the little J than anything else I could have brought out anyway. So I traveled light this year, AND remembered to bring my good 35mm digital camera instead of just the smart phone. A typical hot, sticky, humid Virginia day, but full of trains, full-sized and scale. Legos, S, O, N, and HO were all running today under the big pavilion roof, so at least we were in the shade. Enjoy the photos!

Wow, what I day. That J3 is jaw dropping. Even in a small picture, the size of that monster is breath taking. I had no idea any were even under pressure; thought they would exist now only as static displays, if at all.
