The operating portion of the line is nearly 8 miles long. That portion runs from Ringoes to Three Bridges via Flemington.
There is a dormant section that runs west of Ringoes to Lambertville that is nearly 5 miles long.
Plans are to reactivate that portion within 5 years if funds are available.

That outdoor G-scale layout is a pretty cool one. The last time I went to see the BR&W I stumbled upon that same place, and happened to catch the owner as he was leaving for work or somewhere. There's a whole host of interesting model cars in all different sizes, a bunch of miniature power lines and running water and cool stuff that you saw, but what you might not know is that the giant enginehouse on the uphill side of it was custom-built by the owner... and the roof opens and closes with hydraulics to show the several full-length trains inside. It's really a work of art. He's perfectly happy to show it off to visitors as long as you can find him.

They are currently fixing a portion of that Lambertville segment
for service next year. See their website for more details.

A remarkable enterprise. I can only imagine where
they get the funding for all this. It must require a
fortune just to keep that Consolidation up to spec.
Very well done photo set.

Photos of engine 60 at Flemington NJ ready to depart.

2-8-0 Consolidation steam engine built in 1937 by Alco.

Ran in Colorado until she arrived in New Jersey in 1965.

May run all the way to Lambertville NJ in 2020.

A bit busy with work and relaxation so very few trips for me.
Fortunately other railfans out there to videotape the current action.
