i have a couple of rivarossi items, that are missing trucks and their pins,so was trying to solve this problem without buying them, not because im tight but there are times when things break and you want to use them, and screws can ruin them for replacement pins, solution found i think, the trusty old sprue plastic and a hot screwdriver or whatever you have to hand, not to hot as to de solve plastic, and press on one end till you get a lip, then cut to length, hope it helps someone, ken
not related to this but i keep all my bits of sprues to replace missing drain pipes smoke stakes etc,i find a hair dryer ideal for making small bends,if you want sharp bends, you will need to cut a small v at the apex of bend and use liquid glue to join

Hi ken ; Here plastic can be found in different shapes and sizes. If to make replacement pins, or to fill in the pin holes to drill and tap for screws.

we know you can do it your way frank but this was for those who might want instant fix at no cost that when you get correct pins you can replace it,once you use screws original pins might not fit due to the stretching ken
