I saw a general on ebay for BIN @ $59.99 and was in good shape. The whistle detail is missing though and seller says it runs but the wire that connect the motor is all ate up! Is this a good deal? " Heck with counting 'em rivets, TRAINS ARE FOR FUN! Not called the Mad Scientist for nothing either!"

I'd say it's in line with much of what I've seen asked for them. The wire can be replaced. Long as it runs, it's not a great deal, but it's a fair price for what I've seen them going for. I got one at a local train show a few months ago for $40 plus 3 old time passenger cars with it, complete, some paint chipping. Does move, but jerkily. At another local show a few months ago, guy had 3 of them, priced from $65 to 90 each. Not sure if they ran or not. So you wouldn't be overpaying at 60 imho. Now it's your call.
