this is the terminus at bristol that brunel built,called the train shed,as you will see trains no longer go there,they go to the new station next door,it had and has the worlds largest span of its type,the tarmac area is the old track space,in my eyes it should be re-opened with a display of the original wide gauge locos etc ,to celebrate brunel achievements,ken take the virtual tour http://www.brunels-old-station.co.uk/section.php/25/1/the_passenger_shed/2379be71e943784675402a9712e68443 /tyco/forum/uploaded/catfordken/20110223083801_Bristol_Temple_Meads_railway_station_train-shed_engraving.jpg /tyco/forum/uploaded/catfordken/20110223085844_12345.jpg built 1839/40 within a couple of years it was replaced by this impressive building
