Tony L. recently picked up a PMI freight car and I said I had some info on them...here it is...
This is from a mid-1970s Model Power-PMI product catalog...
Love the analogy of Model Power is the "Rolls Royce" of the industry and PMI is compared to "Volkswagen"....hmmmm...both seem closer to me to a dirty Yugo broken down in the middle of nowhere with four flats...but I still enjoy them none the less...[:D]

I don't know on the PMI steam engines, but the Alco Century 420 is similar to the Lima example, as is the FP-45. This FP-45 is not the same as the AHM, IHC or Life-Like examples...this is the one with no steps...well it does actually have steps coming from the cab they are cast into the truck sideframe and not part of the shell itself...and the pilots are part of the swing of the truck and separate from the walkway and handrails.
The CP Rail F-9 displayed is an N-Scale model, the actual F-9A sold was the American, Train & Track tooling and late-late TYCO substitute F-9A. I like how the F-9 is listed as being made also in AM-Track ...it's always a bit worrisome when a train maker can't even get roadnames correct.
Though there is a prototype for everything, I recently picked up an empty box at the train station I work at and it originally had Amtrak timetables in it. The box was stamped AMTRACK by the printer of the timetables!
A later Model Power catalog incorporates many/most of the PMI releases back into the Model Power line and the PMI vanishes by what appears to be 1980. Guess it was just too hard to decide how to grade the models for quality and determine if it was up to Model Power standards or should step down into the PMI league. [;)]

Hmm... the PMI Southern RR flat, and the Containers for it, look very much like my Lima example I picked up a while back. It's actually quite a nice car.
As for the loads in the gondola... um, yeah. Beer, Wine, or... FROZEN FOOD (?!) hauled in an open gondola?! Sheesh, and we wonder why the 70's were so brutal to the railroads [:P]

Well, the cars arrived the other day.
So, what did I win: Festering Wine, Soylent Foods, or Skanky Brew?
MAY I HAVE THE ENVELOPE PLEASE:

Wow! Authentic nuclear-waste kegs of Lowenbrau! Be still me beating heart!!
(Incidentally... this car IS indeed made by Lima. And universal box says "imported from Italy by Precision Models, Inc. Must have been a Lima re-branding effort across the line).

I have that same Burlington gondola (without the kegs) in a set marketed by Parkway. Anyone know anything about the Parkway line of trains?

Well, I'm impressed with the Gondola full of specially packaged brew. Interesting.
With respect to Parkway HO-Scale releases, I asked on the forum about a month back to no response. From what I've pieced and guessed together, Parkway's stuff is all second-hand. Parkway had an F9A and GP40, but both are merely early '70s Bachmann and I don't think Parkway even got a unique roadname...just re-packaged. Would like more info on Parkway.
