Well, after a good night's rest, I got some pics of the haul yesterday. I think I did rather well on some, maybe overspent on one or two. But I'm happy with the bring-homes. Here I go with the Hot Tub cam pics!

Overall view of my take. Another eclectic bag/box of goodies. Now for Tyco stuff -

Whoa! How did THAT git in the picture?! Roameo, you lover! Get off the tracks! Geez. Got a box full of Atlas and AC Gibert track, transformer, these 3 switches, and some misc. stuff for $10. Couldn't pass it up.

For me, these 4 items (er, 5 counting that Gilbert track too ) were the best bring-homes of the weekend. I found out this morning that the Alco C415 is NOT a dummy, it has a motor, it was just so light, I didn't think it had one - the roof popped off, and I saw the motor inside. Dandy! The RDC has rubber bands, but no motor (why? more resistance, wouldn't it be? weird ). The Coke car has a metal plate bottom, I didnt' see a name on it. Has chassis couplers on it. And the Gilbert partial engine, no shell. These alone would have been worth it to me.

The KFC wasn't a Gotta Have, but at the price of $10, and fairly complete, I couldn't resist this bargain. I came back to the vendor's table 4 times, and found more stuff each time. I noticed him bringing out and pricing stuff after the 2nd time, the 3rd time by was when I noticed the Alco C415, and hadn't seen it before, so good thing I was going by again! The 4th time I knew I wasn't leaving without the Colonel.
Here's a group of flats I acquired from various vendors, the reddish one is all metal and Mantua. All around $3 each. Roameo is guarding them for me.

Other than the blue Allstate tanker, the rest here all need something fixed, but items I want for projects.

Here we have another group of impulse buys. The BN caboose had stickers on the side, when I pulled them off, they left that blackish residue from the glue. Will try to clean it up later. The Soo line tender is Mantua with metal frame underneath. $8. The bottom pipe car is a Lifelike, very Tyco-ish in the tilt mechanism, but awfully fragile looking, the Tyco had thicker hinges than this one does, but it was sealed in a factory bag, I just took it out to fit it together for the picture. Will probably never use it.

Only piece of literature I got, came with the track box-lot. Decent shape except for the cover fading some.

Lastly, a group shot of the Gilbert engine chassis and track, with the Gilbert gear plate. The track is probably a rare find, I've never seen any like it before, I don't recall. Seems to be all copper, or at least copper-plated rails. Very distinct patina. I'm not selling this, it's a keeper.
Well, sorry, Microbuss, just not much Red Box tyco there, a few like a Caboose and a freight car, but no passenger stuff. Overall a small show, but some decent deals and finds for collectors. So, hope you enjoyed my finds, I know I am. Hopefully to put some back in service this year. All for now,
Jerry

Hi AMC_Gremlin_GT
Nice haul! Looks like they had a hight restriction for commercial signs on the last layout that KFC was on, LOL. Some towns really do. Is the $3 NPR flat car a boom tender?
Thanks for sharing.

No, that's an airplane flat car actually. Has the tail support and side wing slots. There were actually two of these NPR airplane flats at the show, but the other one was $6, so I passed on it.

Yes, they help keep me sane. Drove me INsane last year, we lost 3 cats in a 7 month span, one, a stray we'd adopted, left after 4 months, our oldest, a female at nine years who had been born in our basement, had a seizure 1 month after our stray disappeared, and died inside 2 minutes. 3 months later, we adopted a kitten thru a Last Chance organization, and 2 months later, she was diagnosed with a 99% fatal disease, wet FIP, and she died in September, after costing us several G's. she was hard to lose, just the sweetest kitten, would sit on my chest, I still cry sometimes. We still have two, Roameo and Juliette, both former strays as well. Thinking about another kitten, but I'm not sure I"m ready or up to another portential heartbreak yet, so we're waiting 'til the time is right. Roameo likes to get on my hobby bench in the basement, I had to build a tiered bench so he'd have a siding for his furry butt, and I'd have a place underneath to put my tools and trains. LOL. Cats...what ya gonna do with them? But I love them dearly.

Here is Flicka, before she came down with the bloating from FIP disease.
