I knows this is Rivarossi but do not know what kind of loco it was 0-4-0 maybe? Was in a box of junk parts & building pieces I got from someone

Will test motor later & possibly sell this too

Well I have good and and bad new about identifying that. I have that drive train in an 0-4-0 B&O docksider. Now the downside. I also have it in an 0-4-0 with a tender (currently non-running). In addition to this Riverrossi reused their drive trains in multiple different locos. Also they were used in several sold as AMH models.

That is in fact the drive unit for an 0-4-0 tank engine, as it has a rear coupler mounted to it. I have one just like it. runs loud, at may 150 mph, but it is a tough unit, or at least, in my collection. same standard motor as in bl2, erie 0-6-0, european-looking 0-4-0 and others.
btw, where can i get an 0-4-0 rivarossi dockside tender engine? I'd love one with valve gear, as the ones on ebay right now don't have valve gear.
