came across this on ebay uk,looks to be a good detailed scratchbuilt(mainly plastic)motorised railbus with full interior detail,very tempted,but how realistic is paint scheme ken

Ken ; It is a Railbus made from a kit. It is also nicely painted. I realy can appreciate the quality and amount of work put into it. That is a kit I have started to build at least 3 times. Three times I came up with what ever forgotten reasons to stop. Because of all the parts involed with the kits construction it is liklely I have lost some by now and that may have been a reason for the last time I put it away. That railbus is a job well done. frank

Maybe that larger truck is to power it? From what I've read, unless it's a different maker's kit, they're not powered normally. One auction recently noted that it might be able to be powered by a Flea drive.
I'd like to get one at some point, and also the '50s version, as New Haven used them a bit.

Another "railbus" Is the ones Rio Grande Southern made AKA " Galloping Gooses" They could be qualified as a railbus sort of
