A co-worker was throwing out his 3-CD/stereo player he had at work, apparently it lost power. Looking inside of the open panels, I noticed a couple motors....hmm. I decided to scavenge the motors, and it looks like a good idea - they are Mabuchi, the same as in some other CD players. And there were THREE of them, two might fit inside a Tyco, the other is almost a third again as large as those first two. All three tested well at home, no huge RPMs, but sufficient to probably power an HO engine. I'll try one, anyway. I also scavenged some gears and other odds and ends. Not a bad haul for a Monday. :)
