I found a magazine under my club's layout, and it's a 1964 issue of all the "new" releases. Inside are slot car and model train ( mostly train ) ads and reviews. I've selected a few ( of both ) to post here. Enjoy!

Jerry

Here's the inside of the cover, which came off the magazine. Both Tyco ads, one for trains, one for slot cars. Neat!

I like that Jumpin' GI Jeep ( only tanks, no jeeps? ) train by AHM. I've never seen one like it. Anyone else?

The loco is a fictional Rivarossi switcher, probably based loosely on some Italian prototype. They go for a good bit on eBay, even in bad shape.

This page also shows the first run of the Reading C-Liner from the other set:

Sean (a69mustangforme on eBay and various Yahoo groups) has a video of one he's test running. They were very smooth because of their ball bearing motors.

The tanks on flatcars are shown separately on another page in the 1963 catalog, so maybe the set was new for 1964.
