Hey all,

Is this an MU 2 drive?

Can I get parts for this motor? I have an identical motor setup that is missing the "Y" shaped bracket on the dummy truck.

THe motor will be going into an F series locomotive eventually, anyone know where I can get one?

Cheers, Ian

Hmmmm, ask Brian. I have several MU-2's but they are part of a project... I don't remember seeing one of those mounting brackets. My only Tyco F7 went to Cheez. Someone here will haveone though. Failing that lookup Dan at Yardbird Classic trains. He should be able to help...

Inmatt88 - That is definitly a MU-2. The rear truck though has a custom made mount bracket as i have never sen a original bracket like that.

Actually, that IS an original bracket, but it's for Mantua Tyco engines of the '60's most likely. I have a PRR # 9769 Shell with the non-power truck only, and it has that bracket. Metal belly tank cover, NOT plastic. Has Mantua stamped into the inside of the shell. If you have no luck finding a spare engine or bracket, check back with me, I may can come up with a set. Would probably set you back $10 with shipping cost (entire motor/truck combo and bracket only ). The bracket shouldn't be hard to reproduce, actually.
