Hey all,
Another mystery. What kind of truck is this?

Sorry for the blurry pic, I hope someone can identify it.
Is it a freight truck, or passenger truck? It is way to small and short to fit under those RivaRossi passenger cars I have.
It was actually under an F7 series dummy locomotive that had a metal frame.
No clue
Cheers, Ian

That would be off of a streamliner passenger car.

Hi Ian. Need to see a better picture of the top of the Truck. Too dark and Blurry. If the frame is metal Could be a Athearn RDC truck.. I'm Not Positive... Definitely has Rivarossi wheel sets. I tried Lightning it and tried sharpening But, still was Poor. Try taking another. Carl

Is the frame plastic? The wheels are definitely Rivarossi, but if the truck itself was from a RR passenger car it should have a coupler pocket on one end, or the remnants of one if someone removed it. At first I was going to say Cab Forward lead truck, but that's not it.

Carl, you're right... it's an Athearn RDC truck that's been painted black and given Rivarossi wheels. I can see the screws on top now because of your photo tweaking.

Ian, A RDC is a style of self propell Passenger Car Athearn was one a few companies that made Athearn Started making them in the early 1950's They were Metal with a tenshodo power drive truck. around 1955 Athearn made them in Plastic with HiF Drive otherwise known as the rubber band drive. The trucks were unique to this model There were a few different types. The one you have is a dummy truck that someone changed the wheels to Rivarossi type wheel sets...All of the truck were unpainted metal.. Carl
