*** First best wishes for a Great Memorial Day.
* I got some nice Hot Wheels to post. These cars are used in photos with locomotives. I keep the car in the foreground off to one side or the other and loco in the background. This changes the perspective making the close item larger as in a normal photo. These I just got this Saturday at a flea market. frank
1- First A Jaguar road racer of the 1950's. After some investigation, I have found this car to be a Jaguar D-type. I know this because I have a Lesney #41 toy car of the same kind.

Lesney #41, Jaguar D-type

* Next we can't forget FORD. The Ford GT 40. The sports racer built to beat Ferrari. It was not uncommon to have this racer finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd. frank

* I didn't forget the Chevy icon the Corvet. I am not certain of the production year. I would guess 1963. This Vett is also set up for road racing. frank

Here's a different 1/87 scale tow truck I found at my train shop a few weeks ago - what's interesting about it is that it's made by Marx. I just happened to look through the bin of diecast ( most of which I had donated to sell at the shop, most 1/64 ), and spotted this green truck. Is diecast metal with metal base. Looks like a '67ish Chevy truck. Very unusual diecast, I snagged it once I realized what I had in my hand.

this might of come from a set but it was cheap at $1

Very interesting, all. Those Midgetoys with the skirted fenders- I wonder what inspired that funky design? They didn't have the technology to carve out a proper wheel well? I do like it, tho...

As a kid, I had a fuel oil truck like that, with skirted fenders, and wondered the same thing. Then, I watched the movie "You Can't Take It With You" from the 1930's. In the background, a fuel oil truck with skirted fenders, just like the toy I had, drives by. As the saying goes, there's a prototype for everything.
