hi guys just a short note to say yardbird has replied to my email,he is awaiting re supply of pilots and will answer emails as quick as time permits (help is short)he is there from 6am till late filling orders etc,plus getting shop up and running,no problems long term,we all know his track record and reliability is first rate,so i would suggest where possible you use the old fashioned method of communication,ie the phone,ken

I hold you, and certainly all of the excellent people in the Tyco forum, in high esteem. My goal is to direct our small/large company to the point where it can supply you fine people with the service you all deserve.
Please pass along my best regards to the forum. I have new orders of Tyco loco parts that should be on the way soon, and would like to offer the Tyco group a 10% discount through the month of August. All they would need to do is mention they are an active member of the forum when placing an order of any kind. It doesn't have to be limited to Tyco parts, but we are limiting it to just the Tyco members.

Dan responded to my email today, and I just ordered a die cast pilot for my Pacific. It cost $9.50 plus $1.79 shipping. I don't know if that's a good price or not, but I'm certainly happy since I've only got $20 invested in this loco so far and it's turning out great.
I'm still thinking that I'm going to paint/decal it for GN in order to pull the passenger cars I got at the last auction.

| The pilot was number p1175. It arrived today. Great service once he replied to the email. I think I'll call next time. I forgot to mention the discount, but 10% of 10 bucks isn't going to make or break me.

hi af kid,you obviously do not know dan,hes a hard working guy,if he has not got back to you,its due to him being very busy,still got a long way to go to finish shop after his move,hes not ignoring you,there is another problem at the moment but its personnel and do not think i have the right to tell you,so please be patient,ken
ps the last 2 plastic pilots i saw on ebay went for $20+

I have a lead on some elsewhere. When I am sure they will have them, I will post it here with the price and contact info.
I never got a response from the e-mail I sent Yardbird back in late April either.
