Hello,
just wanted to introduce myself. I am living in Germany, 44 years old and especially interested in the early US engines and railroads. There is not too much older US stuff of that kind to buy here, let alone Tyco or Mantua models, so my Nr. 1 source at present is eBay - and i am not always happy with that. I only discovered the Tyco brand recently, and bid on several "Generals" from Tyco and Mantua - those are sure beautiful models, all die-cast and very good quality.
As my name probably reveals i am a buff for the 4-4-0 engines, especially the very early ones up to, but not limited to, the 1860ies. I intend to build a pre civil war layout in HO scale, and maybe some scenes from c. war photos.
Greetings from Germany and merry Christmas,
Kai ("4-4-0")
