This is one of my favourite schemes that Tyco made. It was marketed in the 60's as "The Sunshine Limited" and "The Champion". I posted a vid of this a while back as well.

That is a very nice set. I have wanted one of those for years. Some day though. What kind of motor is in there? Did Tyco make a shiny version of those engines? Nice clean layout too!
Thanks for posting. Mike

That CP set is gorgeous. I've been trying to find a set of Tyco streamliners in that scheme, but so far no luck :(

Thanks! The A-unit is MU-2 powered and the B-unit is a dummy. As far as I know, only the SF and B&O schemes were made in chrome versions.

Great stuff guys...all three sets are something to behold...
My SOTW is yet another race set, a JC Penney TYCO Nite-Glow Double Loop racing set...missing the cars (no surprise there...sigh...) but otherwise complete. Not your typical track connectors and I have never seen a curved lane changer before...

Those 3 train sets are nice ones. The CP scheme is classic.
Shay, I had friends across the street who got a TycoPro for Christmas around 1972, and that's the type of track joiners it had. I don't know what other type Tyco used. Aurora started with track that needed two steel pins and a plastic joiner at each joint that were very durable, but when they switched to AFX they made snap connectors similar to those that were easy to break.
Those jump sections look like mayhem in the making. The Tyco Depot

The sets TYCO put out later have a latch tab system, it's still used by Life-Like in their sets today. I'm looking forward to those loops once setup...they're made out of two steel C-channels held together with a plastic channel. The set has a quality to it that I have never seen before in a TYCO set...maybe JC Penney had some quality controls TYCO had to live up to?

Yep. That is TycoPro track. Growing up my friend had a huge layout made up of the stuff. It worked great. I still like it better than the track they introduced starting in the late 1970's to present. Aurora made a curved crossover back in the 1960's. I wasn't awear that Tyco made one.X2F

Years ago I bought a large box of slotcar track for $5. My cars were never able to make the loops though. I would've loved a slotcar set that size that when I was younger.
