The vintage trains are finally all in the Bergen Point area for the annual gathering of vintage steam power.



This last visitor is from Kansas City Missouri.



The cold wind does not bother the guests who travelled east to be with family.



The three car set is filled to capacity with happy guests on board.



The long ride is nearly over as the train passes Maplewood New Jersey on a bright sunny afternoon.
Will arrive at Bergen Point in time for the Christmas Eve festivities.
Many thanks to PGW president Frank Toptrain with smooth operations.
Pristine planning to have all those trains negotiate the complex terminal area.
And maintaining regular commuter service for that busy area.
He makes it look easy with decades of experience.

From what I heard Ben is that they are satisfied with their mini caboose set. No need for a regular caboose.




One of the holiday excursion sets has left Bergen Point a few days earlier.



The Chop's City Limited heads back to El Paso Texas.

My next photos show a lone passenger waiting for the next commuter train at Elberon New Jersey.


He is hoping that the train comes soon. It is getting colder as the night continues.


Finally she approaches the station with her familiar whistle and low rumbling sounds.


It is a relief to get on board and away from the increasing cold winds off the nearby ocean.


Sure is nice and warm inside those cozy brightly lit coaches.


As the train departs the station it is once again empty waiting for the next passengers and trains.
