Nope, not at all. I just thought it was a funny typo. I thought maybe you were.
Was that 4-8-0 the Tyco DRG&W version, or built up from a Mantua kit? The headlantern is different than the one I bought in Allentown. Was that an add-on too?

The TF Railroader News 05-05-2-13 Midday Addition Snoopy reporting * Today a large freight from upstate New York came down the Hudson to interchange at Berger Point . Power provided was a pair of GP7s, one 0596 with dynamic breaks, the other 0598 without . They entered the turntable to be realigned for their way back north. They came long hood forward and will leaving the same after some servicing. They were turned together. The 100' foot turntable can handle the pair at one time. Snoopy--
** About the GP&'s; They are Lionel bodies powered by Athearn GP drives. If my engines run even a little, they get put to work. No collection here. Just a trains I run, and some I want to run ( once fixed ).

** A look at the PRR Q2 duplex drive locomotive. It is on a display track #1, directly behind the PGW RR Bergen Point office building, at the Frankford engine facility. This locomotive has the look of a articulated drive 4-4-6-4, but in reality is a solid frame, 4-10-4 with additional cylinders added to incress power and smoothness of operation. Snoopy

It's a beauty, all right! Does that tender have a water scoop under the middle? That's a whole lot of fuel bunker for the amount of water tank.

The TF Railroader News 12-04-2013 morning addition Snoopy reporting
Today I heard the whizzing sound of a European Electric locomotive. I tracked it down to find a Italian class E-636 045 slipping around a freight to couple up and run. The PGW never stops astounding me in its variety of locomotive power. Like it is a proving ground for the worlds locomotives. The PGW here at the Frankford branch and the Catford Branch across the pond is always testing locomotives in their search for the best. Your on the spot reporter, Snoopy !

The TF Railroader News 02-21-2014 morning addition Snoopy reporting Well I have received a copy of a new PGW railway logo. It has not been accepted yet. It is in the concept stage at this time. I will publish it here to check response to it. It has been forwarded already to the Catford branch for evaluation. Here at the Graphic Design Dept. we has struggled with how to put a P,G,and W together in a presentable way on a logo. this one seems to work. ** Snoopy Photographer

I like the second one better. Like the look of number one except it says GPW to me. Number two...I might even omit the Railway or Railroad wordage altogether and make Pennsylvania Great Western larger/bolder. Good colors.

First logo looks right for 21st century.
The second one looks more like a railroad with some history behind it. It's the way logo design would have looked in the late 19th or early 20th century.
Let the goal drive the decision.

Wait a minute. Who made that Dry Ice car? I found that car at a show a month ago and I've been dying to find out who made it and when. I already had an Ambroid version of the outside-braced car that these cars replaced, now I have both kinds of Mathieson Dry Ice car, but I haven't been able to find any info on this model.

The TF Railroader News. Morning Addition. Snoopy reporting.
* The Pennsylvania Great Western Railway facility here at Bergen Point has always been filled with interesting things going on. The roundhouse facilities here provide some of the best of railway engineering found anywhere. The equipment has always been varying, and interesting to view. With the large amount of work being done here, space is of a premium. Out in the north end of town the end of a siding is now being used for locomotive storage. Chef Engineer toptrain has informed me that these locomotives are there, awaiting roundhouse inside space for the rebuilding of these locomotives. Also possibly preparation for shipment to other PGW facilities, and other railroads.
* Seen here are three 2-4-2 Columbia types and a consolidation 2-8-0. Residents and travelers can easily access the area to see up close these steel, steam breathing, monsters of the rail. Snoopy reporting.

The TF Railroader News 03-12-2014 Evening addition Snoopy reporting
* A Reading 0-8-0 due to a breakdown in front of Bergen Point Station had to have its head end power replaced. A Lehigh Valley Mikado was sent. Power was switched and the freight continued on. The train is made of all early Mantua built cars including the caboose. They and the original Reading loco were of all metal construction with the freight cars having printed embossed paper sides. Standard from Mantua in the 1940s into the mid-1950s.
Snoopy
* The Mikado moves over changing tracks, and the train is on its way.

Do I see an Erie gondola? My dad had one of those that he passed on to me to play with, it survived many years but not quite all the way - don't know what happened to it. It had heavy/stiff cardboard sides. Nice train with all that old Mantua stuff.

* The sides were stiff because of the metal backing the paper up. frank

OK - yes that makes sense, my memory was seeing those paper sides getting frayed and it seemed to me it was all paper. Was a LONG time ago.

The TF Railroader News March 12 2014 Evening edition Richard reporting ** Good evening, this is Richard reporting for the first time. I am a new employee to this company whose first pictures are of Western Maryland #763 returning from light work done at Bergen Point NJ. The crew at Frankford roundhouse did a great job of repairing her braking system. #763 passing some track workers at the Narrows near Cumberland MD. Crew stopping for supper at KFC in Cumberland MD. After turning on the wye, crew picks up workers and retires for the night.
