Hi toptrain, those F units sure are a tight fit on the turntable! Looking good but these aren't the ones you posted in LOTW. How many F units you got in total? And is that an Alco FA set front and left?

The TF Railroader News. 10/21/2010 Morning Addition. TYKOWolf; "Got to have enough power to run a railroad." The PGW's Eastern branch this side of the pond, especially the Frankford branch and its Parent railroads the Pennsylvania RR and the Great Western Railway has a very flexible roster of motive power. At present EMD F series locomotive assigned by the PRR side has a pair of F3A's (LLP2000), 4 F7A's and 1 F7B (Athearn), and a pair of F9A's ( MRC ) Presently assigned. Alco FA 1's and 2's are as numerous. These locomotives do not sit still but are constantly being reassigned after returning to The Frankford Service area. They are in and out. Recently all 10 of the assigned FA's were here at Frankford. I am certain a photo was placed for publicity reasons on either "The Railroad Press "menu or the "my layout toptrain". It, the FA photo, showed the pair of FA1's you questioned ( HObbyline)along with the other FA types now assigned. The motive power here at the Frankford facility is always changing. Many surprises are found on different storage tracks here. Our associate railroad the Great Western Railway who Catford Branch in London has transferred many Locomotives here ,and we, the PRR there. Ongoing evaluation of locomotives types is a must. We cannot just look at our own manufactures. The GW has made it possible for us to test even locomotives from other English railways. We have here locomotives of different types and from different Railways. We test them and assign them to even our best name trains. In freight hauling 9F's are seen with our I1's. The railroader Press is a open venue. Anyone can post here articles and photos about current events on their railroad branches. The PGW has no exclusive rights to this. frank

Quoted for truth! Never more so when you're talking the PRR, their fleet was vast.
I've been looking back through this thread and your layout thread, fantastic pictures toptrain.

Glade you like it Wolf. mantua made a few that aren't shown. A dinner, then maybe a full bagage and sleeper. I dont know of domed cars. A different company made the same type of car line in HO. It was the American Model Toy Co. I have a set but have to clean them up. They are different from the Tyco Mantua type by not being completely Aluminum. The roof of the Tyco is cast with the side walls. It is all aluminum and has ribs running the length of it. The AMT cars have stainless steel roofs and are smooth. frank

The TF Railroader News 11-05-2010 reported by Sneaky Photographer * A locomotive just transfered from the Catford branch sits on a siding behind the brewery. It is the Hiawatha CP # 1542. ( triang )Its lettering has been redone from white to gold. The number is the same as the original that Triang placed on it. 1542 was on the tender where the PGW now is, but in white. The 1542 under the cab windows is the same location as the white 1542 of triang.

Later on on the frankford turntable going in for repairs.

The TF Railroader News 12-01-2010 Sneaky Photography
* While sneaking around the Frankford roundhouse area I Took this photo of a mishap involving a leased Reading Atlantic. Someone wasn't doing their job and a derailment occurred. Here in plain sight the front truck of this 4-4-2 is defiantly off the track. The way this railroad is run changes need to be made.
[/center]
From the Editor : Please pay no attention to Sneaky. Here at this paper we do not condone this action. He is a reporter and thus feels a needs to cause controversy. As a reporter he if interviewing you, will continue to ask the same question, with the only difference being a change in adjectives'. He will do this hoping to upset you so he can try to make it seem as though you, the interviewed, are not able to control yourself. Because of a contractional agreement we can't edit his reported statement.

The TF Railroader News 12-20-10 toptrain * The use of 12 made up trains on this layout is not a good thing. This layout will run smothly with 5 trains. I have 2 north end sidings that can be used but because they are sidings with only one entrance, you have to back a train in and drive it out. Anywhere else trains cam pull in and pull out. frank
