New York Central!! I commend you for allowing the members recognize Ebay.

Ebay has been what I believe the link that revived the Tyco and other older train interests.

As for myself, I had always remembered my old Tyco layout I had as a kid in the 70s. Personally, had I not found ebay, I would have never thought of attempting to recollect all of the wonderful Tyco & Life-Like that I once again own. I don't know what we would do without ebay.

Thank you, for allowing the mention of Tyco's Trains #1 selling place!

Walt

Whoops, was that a no-no before? I'd just put some links in the Bicentennial thread, for those reverse-color '76 cabooses I found on Ebay. Been awhile since I read the FAQ. Apologies in advance if I stepped over that line.

* I hope these people with their E Bay links don't forget that there is a place for sale and trade items to be listed. IN Forums, is "the Trading Post" But a sale and a auction isn't the same thing. In a sale there is a definite price. A auction has none. On E bay some dealers list a sale price, but it is not on all items. E bay links become useless once the sale is auction is completed. Do these people who are profiting from the auction go back and remove their links to clean up the site. There is a place for sale and trade. Use it.

They were banned for a while because there was some nonsense going with people arguing over auction threads, I think. That ban has been lifted, so there isn't any problem with pointing out an item of interest.

Great! I agree, I would not have been able to collect ANYTHING if it weren't for eBay and Craigslist. This site / forum is great for TYCO experts that have been able to help me repair the broken stuff I sometimes buy.

I appreciate it being offered, thanks NYC. As for cluttering up with links, I can understand that but it is easily remedied by simply posting one's "About Me" page link. That updates itself.

Ebay has also allowed me to reaquire the trains and slotcars I had as a kid. Also I love British and European model trains. Hornby,Jouef, and Marklin being three of my favorits. These are almsot never available in my area. I like being able to click on a link on the fourm and be able to see an item of intrest so long as it pertains to the forum topic.
