I would like to build a turntable from scratch, any one have plans for a project like this.I have not found any in my search.

There have been many in MR magazine over the years, I'll see if I can't dig one up for you. A very simple and reliable one can be made using a 1/4" headphone jack and socket for a start if you're not looking for anything too complicated or expensive.

My brother scratch built a turntable using the girders from the load on one of the Atlas flat cars.
The girders become the sides, track laid on top. The rest is just basic construction of a round pit.
He thinks the idea came from MR.
