What are the odds at two powerpacks going bad?both are 25 yrs old and were not in the best environment, severe heat and cold(they were in a garage). my o guage lionel was running great and then it just died.well i switched locomotives and same results.I hooked up my whistle to it and no juice even put power to wheels, nothing with both of them. so i got another transformer and hooked up and now running again. They look to be a sealed unit and i cant open them up.well i m going to train show sat so ill look for a good one there. thanx J.

Look for an older MRC Golden Pack or Troller Auto-Pulse...nice ones in their day if you're looking for period pieces.
