i put in an application for a Signal Trainee and the say that Trainees start out on signal construction gangs. what is this? what kind of work? it's for the norfolk southern. i guess it's a foot in the door if i can get the job.

Sounds like what it sounds like Jerry. Like you be putting in and maintaining signals, signal bridges, digging to lay cable to the signal "trunk/backbone" should be a real good, well paying job.... Good luck on it. It will sure open the door for you to other things as those things do.

Probably day time or second shift job. ?? My brother attempted to apply for a job at NS. He said "Conductor is a good job, if you don't like sleep."
