The Mantua GP20 discussion reminded me of this...
I just bought this a couple weeks ago on woot.com. My wife was telling me about the site...they sell one item a day at "great closeout prices" or something. Anyway, she very casually said "they have a train set or something today..." and I immediately went to check it out. This was the deal of the day, for $30.

There's an 0-6-0 locomotive, four cars, a power pack, a loop of track, and a few people. It arrived quickly and runs great. So far I love it. I've only tested the engine and a couple cars. This is actually my first DCC ready loco, not that I'll be using that feature anytime soon.
I feel a little guilty for not buying one for my nephew for Christmas. I didn't really think it would arrive in time. It's just as well...he's obsessed with video games and Pokemon. Probably too far gone. But this would have been a great deal for someone looking for a starter set.
Anybody know where to buy more of these Mantua classics?
