I normally spend my free time with H.O. slot cars and building models. But something made me want to dig my old trains out and take them for a spin, and picked up a few Tyco's on ebay recently.
thanks, Russell Zachry

Welcome! I also have a few slot cars, mostly t-jets, that I play with. Someday I want to have a combined train/slot car layout.

Combining the slot cars and trains is what I am thinking as well. I run mostly thunderjets and AFX cars, and throw some faster cars in their as well. Right now it is a 4 X 8, 4 lane set up.

Have you got an old Tyco Turbotrain set? I've got several sets, and would love to set them up, alas I have so little room, my only train "layout" is on a 48" x 44" board....no room anywhere for slot cars yet! I'm a packrat. LOL. Anyway, also love slot cars and would like a combined train/automobile slot layout as well. Glad you're aboard with us, there are like-minded souls here like yours. :)

Jerry, you don't know the half of it, I am a pack rats packrat. I have a turbo train still in the box, except the train is setting on my slot car shelf. I think I set it up and ran it once.
