Awesome!!!! I just can't tell my wife or she'll want one to go with the video she loves so much.

Got me thinking, I bet a lot of stuff is HO sized or close enough in Christmas ornaments for layouts? Anyone ever pull anything from a Christmas ornament or seven?

Looking forward to the video. Very impressive!

Thanks for the comments - This is my Favorite Christmas show from my childhood too. The train is ON30 and runs on Ho scale track. The passenger cars light up also and there are flat cars with characters from the show. All will be in my video. The train was not cheap and i did not know at the time it was going to cost a literal fortune to acquire -if you have ever bought from Hawthorne Village -you will know what i am talking about - but it is a cool train. It came with track and power pack -- all Bachmann. The loco is a smooth runner too and has a bright headlight.

I have wanted some of those fantasy trains, although I would be fine with HO scale. I just can't bring myself to pay the literal fortune. I'd have to break down if they had a Kansas City Royals train. I look on eBay once in a while for that but haven't seen one.

Now I happen to own an ALPS printer but need all of the ribbons for it. I may figure out how to do the decals one day. That was one acquisition that I realized a LONG time ago was a great thing.

I will be dangerous if I can figure out how to do the decal sets with the ALPS. I will likely turn a lot of BN boxcars into things like the Monopoly train, and add more cars than just the railroads - that Bachmann issue is pretty sweet IMO, and do up a whole ton of fantasy billboards.

Nah, I don't get off track! LOL

Can't wait for the videos of this running. Should be pretty sweet!

Very nice, everybody knows and loves Rudolph. I enjoyed seeing the train and video. Thank you for sharing!

Brian, how do those HOn3 Bachmann Moguls run? Were there any issues straight out of the box? It's sure pulling more than its own weight.

P.S. At 3:35 you have a light out on the lowest branch.

NP - This engine has ran with NO problems -it is smooth and quiet -and i wasn't sure if it would pull all of the cars made for the engine either -but it did -even on full throttle it is not Tyco fast which is good. If they start making diesels i may be tempted to switch to this scale
