Yeesh I didn't realize that Bachmann just stuck a couple of those horrid pancake motors in their DD40X. Everyone knows these things are big enough to put a good motor in there. Oh well.

A CN DD40X is something I'd pay to see!

love hose locos I think theres one in Cheyenne Thats used occasinally Can you imagine these locos built today with AC motors & What kind of power they'd produce??

There was a Plus version made later with dual motors and flywheels, and last year they improved on that.

It's worse than you think. Those originals only have ONE pancake motor. The front truck is a dummy.
