Hi, I am new to this forum and I am not into trains at all but I have Two boxes of Tyco Ho Scale Electric Trains in the original boxes. They are in big boxes that you open and then the individual trains are in other boxes. On the individual boxes they say The General 1860 series. There are trains, tracks, motors and buildings in the boxes. I was wondering if anyone new where I can send pictures to get an appraisal on the set. If I am not posting in the right area I apologize. Thanks for your help!

Well, I'm not sure about an official appraisal, but I can almost garuntee you that if you posted pictures here on this forum, SOMEONE would have an idea of what they're worth.
(P.S.- If that doesn't pan out, there's always eBay... )

While I'm not an expert at what they are worth, You have a nice setfor introducing a child to model trains. If you list it as a lot on ebay you may get &100 or more. Donate it to a child interested in finding a hobby and you'll be a hero.

Wow, looks like you have a bunch of Tyco red-box era sets there, man!!! I'm sure it's worth a decent price, but there is still a lot more you can do, too...
...you have plenty to give to an heir of yours, or a great start at a train layout...

| With everything in boxes and looking to be in very good condition I'd say between $100-$200 sold in a couple of lots.
