When you ream the truck side frames to accept metal replacement wheel sets does this improve the ability to stay on the track without extra weight? I wonder if reaming the trucks a bit and keeping the Tyco wheels would be an improvement worth trying?

AlcoFan-- I have had no problem with my Tyco cars that i have installed metal wheels on derailing. I added no extra weight. Tyco 40 ft tank cars could use extra weight though as they do not have enough from factory.
