This Mehano set was sold here in Canada through the Loblaws grocery store chain. I like the looks of this CN 4-6-4 locomotive.

Does anyone on here have one of these? If so, how well does it run? What about converting it to DCC?

Thanks
Todd

Hello Todd, I picked up two of those engines without the set.

All of my Mehano locos run great. Look great too...

Every Mehano I've ever run into was a snap to convert to DCC, their motors were already isolated from the frame and that is the hardest trick with any conversion.

Wow,
The seller with this new in box set wants CDN $150 (about $120 U.S). He also has this Model Power Kraft set. Anyone know if this is rare?:

For some reason, people seem to think that the PC sets triple in value two or three years after they're released. They slap $200 price tags on them, and show up to every train show with the exact same unsold sets. I went to Loeb 2 years ago and paid $50 for that whole set brand new. Keep watching ebay...every so often a set (or just the engine) gets listed at a decent price.
