Nice ship and forklift microbuss- any idea what there official names are? Maybe I'll try to pick some up from (where else?) ebay. Speaking of Ebay here are my HO scale trucks I just won. They are in the mail as I type. I think they may be Road Champs, got 'em for 2.50 apiece:

Guess I can give up on my quest for that container ship on ebay then microbusss. As long as the trucks are HO scale, It doesn't matter to me who makes them.

Hi,
these are typical German beverage trucks. The breweries here use these trucks as giveaways. Some of them have kind of a strange or weird load, others are quite good models of the real thing. Most of them are HO. The price on eBay is usually less than 5 bucks each.
What might be interresting for you guys in the new world, there are American Trucks as well in this series, here are a few of my collection.
With some paint and maybe some stickers (it's easy to make them at home on the PC), you can get some rather good models....

Hi,
well, maybe we're lucky in this case. But the majority of "real" model railroaders don't like these trucks because of their shiny appearance and stay with Herpa or Wiking.
If you look around in the supermarkets in Germany, there are many products on the shelves with a free truck (beer, juice, shavers, shampoo, yogurt...).
check eBay.de and search for "Biertruck", you'll find lots and lots of these cheap models.

If you have some extra trucks, I would be willing to buy some. I checked on ebay and I found a lot, but only a few will ship internationally. I don't know how much shipping would cost to the states, but you might be able to calculate it online. My zip code is 63090 if you are interested. Thanks!

I've been looking for that Helium Truck, I believe 1984 or '86 era, since I have a bunch of AHM Helium tank cars, I want the Hotwheels rigs to go with them. Don't find many on Ebay, either, I've got 2 so far. If anyone ever finds a huge stash of them reasonable, let me know ( reasonable as in under $3-4 each. )

Actually, I am looking for those Hotwheels Helium rigs, those are hard to find, I've got 2 so far. Looking for more as well, since I have the AHM Helium cars I'm rebuilding with Bowser base and integral Kadee-type coupler boxes on them, so would love more HW Helium trucks to go with these tanker cars.

Hi All,
The Great One and I had a chance to hit some flea markets this weekend. We found a few more Matchbox regular wheels to go with the others I have. We finally found the BP wreck truck I had been looking for for years and the Binz Ambulance. They are very playworn but I love them anyway. I just can't get enough of the Matchbox cars. There is also a Corgi Jrs Ambulance on the left end and a Playart dump truck on the right end. We picked up some Tootsie Toys as well ( not pictured ). These where made here in Rockford for many years before they moved to Chicago. I got the blue police car, red fire car a fire truck and a few others.

Here is my complete collection so far, I have six more semis in the mail from Jeremy. Some of these aren't officially HO scale, but they are close enough. The Tyco BN loco is there for size comparison.

Three more trucks arrived in my collection!
Ford 9000 "Stella Artois" (Belgium) with tank container
GMC General (at least supposed to be) "Rock Creek Brewing, Richmond VA" with tank trailer
Ford Aeromax "Samuel Adams, Boston" with flatbed trailer and car, which is much too big.
These are not free giveaways, still cheap models.
Jakob, I didn't forget you, give me a few days....

Well, my new HO trucks from Jeremy recently arrived, and since 3 of them were the same Pennzoil truck, I experimented with some labels. I made an Ace Hardware, Mayflower, and different Pennzoil design, which is my favorite. The Grant's truck is 1/100 scale, close enough for me. I didn't do anything with the FedEx truck, because there was only one of them. I just made labels for the sides, didn't mess around with the roofs (rooves?) or the cabs yet. I downloaded the logos from google images and used Microsoft Publisher to arrange them and add lines etc. They look ok to me.

There is a 3-pack lot of the Road Champs Mack Super-Liners on ebay. With 5 days to go, the bidding is up to $20.00!! And these don't come with trailers. Mine were mint on card with matching trailers and sold for $15 including shipping for both together! Guess I found mine at the right time.
Any chance you might be willing to part with one of your old B-Fs? I have several spares of the Yatming Kenworth W-900s.

Mike M. Those trucks are sharp and look good in photos. Sometimes the truck looks good in person but don't photograph realistically.

I was going for the scale perspective. But it wasn't working out too well until I fliped the fore- and backgrounds. The two Macks are sitting on the back of the ceiling tile rather then in front of it's white side. Not only was the camera happier, but the result was more realistic. Are you planning to post a couple of yours?

Hypo: Man those are some fine examples of some Road Champ trucks. Some of those brought back some fond memories of simple times while playing as a kid. My favorite one was the Roadway tractor trailer. I may have the matching tractor for the Robbins Transport lowboy if you need one to match the trailer. You would'nt happen to have the older "Lee Way" tractor trailer by chance would you? It was made by Yatming. Its the same style as the Interstate System truck you posted. I used to have that one too.

It's kind of funny Mike, I was just looking yesterday for those exact models. I looked on the matchbox website and picked a few models I thought would be close to HO scale, and those were the exact ones! I didn't find any though, as my local Target doesn't restock too often. I was also right by the Maisto products, but I didn't see the highway haulers or the Ruff N Readys However I did find a fire truck and ambulance both made by matchbox.

I have seen the ice cream truck before, it was pretty close to HO, however I didn't buy it. I did buy the street sweeper though, I like it a lot, it has great detail. I also picked up some of the Maisto highway haulers at Walgreens that Mike posted earlier. I will try to get some pictures and post soon
