I met a fellow at a local train swap meet who offered me all his old Model Railroader magazines for free! I stopped by his home last weekend and picked them up. Wow! Pristine mags-boxes of them all the way back to 1970 all for free! I had a lot of the 1970's issues when I was a kid and it sure brought back memories reading them. Anyway, here is a "clearance" ad from Tyco from the Feb 78 issue:

Some bargoons for sure!

Very nice ad !! This ad is from about the time when I boxed my 70's layout up. Back then, I wanted one of those Alco 630's really bad.. I have 4 of them now!

44 cents for a caboose. Not a bad deal at all!

$8 for a brand new engine....44c for a new caboose. Compare that to the price of trains today HAHA...you should bring that ad with you to train shows and whip it out everytime some nutjob tries to sell you a Tyco car for $10
