right here goes i have a lima fp45 which i want to fit bachmann ez couplers to,so tried tyco style to see if i could firstly get it to fit,yes it does but only if i cut return spring (the little plastic extension) off,do not want to alter the frame if possible,anyone got any ideas ken

I think Life-Like equips their low-end rolling stock with knuckle couplers, but kept the original truck mount made for the horn-hook couplers.

If the hight of the coupler is right then you could use an Athearn or MDC coupler (or bachmann ez couplers) with one of the KD bushings.
