just for reference,these scales are the most popular,and contain what most people buy and makers sell,there are others but not mass produced, ken


 Here are Santa Fe War Bonnet F units in each scale. Starting on the left, the smallest locomotive is in Z scale (1:220 proportion). Next from the left is N scale (1:160 proportion), then HO scale (1:87 proportion),and S scale (1:64 proportion). The next largest locomotive is O scale (1:48 proportion) and the largest is in G scale (approximately a 1:29 proportion).

The Gunny must point out that HO and OO are two different scales---HO being 3.5mm to the foot and OO being 4mm to the foot. They both ride on HO gauge track.

Well, you forgot.....
...japanese HO is 1:80, N is 1:150 ...and G, ranging from 1:29 to 1:20
