can anyone tell me when these came out ,did they belong to set? got them ebay 12.00 total.needed wheels clean runs great.

From what I can tell, you have two different versions there, and neither is the "Deluxe" version.

The one on the left is the 2nd Gen Tyco F, identifiable by the vertical bars on the side carbody grilles, and the numberboard inserts. This debuted about 1975 or so and stayed that way through the 80's. The one on the right is the earlier version. Since the stirrups appear extend down flush from the body, this is not a late-70's "Deluxe" reissue but it should have the MU-2 motor. They quit making that version in the early 70's.

Also note the fonts on each are different. The one on the right is the more appropriate UP font... note the stylized points on the "N"s and the "537". The one on the left uses a more generic sans-serif font. (Arial, possibly).
