Well, I'm not Tony but I do have one of these. It's a late Red Box Era GP-20. http://tycotrain.tripod.com/locomotives/id3.html It's listed in the Red Box site.

...Does that engine have the road number 5625 or 5628? In the pic it looks like a 5.

| From the pic is doesn't look too bad. It's got its handrails and looks to be in one piece. I payed $10 for mine and I think I got a fairly good deal. It runs fairly well but sometimes loses power on switches.

Thanks for posting, Ken. I was not aware of the Sanka hopper. I love it and gotta have one (not the one your bidding on). The CN geep is handsome too. Good luck. Hope you get it all

I have the list of roadnumbers somewhere for the CN GP20's. For some reason TYCO used a variety of numbers and not always the traditional 5628 for its CN GP20. Same goes for the CN F-9 models, they get a few different roadnumbers over the years.
The other roadname with similar roadnumber variety that comes to mind is TYCO's late Red Box and early Brown Box Penn Central diesels. The F-units have different numbers and the "PC" logo goes solid white to mixed red-and-white "PC" on various releases.

For the Sanka drinkers...
Here's a link to the TYCO Resource Freight Car Gallery page...
http://tycotrain.tripod.com/freightcars/id1.html
You'll find the Sanka Coffee Hopper on this page in the Freight Cars section...

Here's the group of original Hoppers with the Sanka model from the early '70s. The Maxwell House Coffee Hopper is the odd duck in the group...

| LOL cool: the numbers on Cheez' cab are almost an exact match for the style on the numberboards. First time I've ever seen that - nice touch!

On the Tyco Resource I see both the small numbers like on mine, and the larger numbers like on ken's.
BTW, what's up with the diff whistles?
